LinkSquares is seeking an enthusiastic Staff Accountant to provide support to the financial department by performing daily accounting tasks and transactions. You will be part of a team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the company’s finances. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and attention to detail. The goal is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the department and help the company be fully aware of its financial condition. The Staff Accountant is expected to establish operational efficiencies and assist in attaining short and long-term financial goals. LinkSquares is a growing company and the finance department is looking for the right individual to grow with it. The Staff Accountant works closely with, and reports to Director of Finance and Human Resources.
Update accounts receivable and issue invoices. Track revenue recognition. Maintain customer information and customer files. Creating and sending client invoices via email or client portal. Applying payments and updates to appropriate systems. Responding to client inquiries regarding invoicing or payments. Performing collection functions when necessary.
Update accounts payable, seek invoice approvals, enter approved invoices into Bill.com. Perform reconciliations, maintaining vendor information and vender files. Monthly corporate credit card reconciliation and reviewing expenses, as assigned. Preparing 1099 and accompanying year-end statements. Performing all other financial related duties, as necessary.
Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed. Performing ad-hoc analysis and reporting as assigned. Assist in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings and assist with other accounting projects.
Proven accounting experience
Excellent organizing abilities
Great attention to detail
Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen
Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
Excellent knowledge of MS Office, Excel and familiarity with relevant computer software is a plus (NetSuite, Xero, Gusto, Bill.com)
BSc/Ba in accounting, finance or relevant field.
Salary is commensurate with level of expertise and years of experience.
